Harry McIver Graphic Designer
Role: Self-Initiated Branding Project
Sector: Creative · Design Portfolio · Personal Brand
Overview
To establish a polished, professional presence as both a freelance and in-house graphic designer, I developed a full personal brand identity. This includes a custom logo, cohesive stationery set, and a clean, user-friendly portfolio website. The identity was designed to feel timeless, minimal, and adaptable across digital and print formats.
My Role
As both the client and designer, I led all aspects of the branding process — drawing on my strengths in layout, visual hierarchy, and refined typography.
Key deliverables:
- Logo Design
Created a typographic logo using a classic serif typeface. The choice of serif lettering conveys professionalism, creativity, and a timeless aesthetic — giving the brand a distinctive yet approachable feel. - Stationery
Designed an elegant letterhead and business card using a monochrome palette and carefully balanced spacing. The layout was minimal but thoughtful, allowing content to take centre stage while reinforcing the brand’s identity. - Portfolio Website
Designed and developed www.hmgd.co.uk as a clean, responsive showcase for my work. The website features case studies, and a contact form — helping visitors quickly understand my capabilities and style.
